Why "Make-A-Wish"? Make it happen!!!
So, I received an e-mail for the world's largest ice cream social. I am happy to be invited to such a lovely event to support "Make-A-Wish" Month!
THEN, I think about it!
Why are we making-a-wish?
Why not just make all of this happen? We have the power don't we? Sure, let's help all children with a life threatening illness to something wonderful. BUT WHY NOT help them defeat cancer, too?
Cancer awareness, cancer foundations, and other fund raising charities tend to thin-out the funds. There is a paper-trail to follow. From there, you have to figure out where the funds are going. Are the funds going to treatment? Are the funds going to education? Are the funds going to the cost of the actual fund raising event? Who pays the salaries of the names running the charity? How much of the money is ACTUALLY going to direct research and drug trials?
Stop WISHING! Make some NOISE. Make it happen!
Stop having children suffer with all cancers. Make the research and drug trials happen.
Support pure science. Make-It-Happen.
